ABORIGINAL HEALTH BURSARY PROGRAM
Award
Up to $200,000 is available for aboriginal students in Alberta enrolling in a health field. Awards
are valued at between $1,000 and $13,000.
Description
Designed to provide funding for Aboriginal students in Alberta to pursue postsecondary education in
a health field.
Eligibility
Applicants must be Indian, Inuit or Métis and have been a resident of Alberta for three years. Must
be enrolled or will be enrolling in a health field at the college, technical institute or
university level and demonstrate financial need. Have maintained full-time enrollment (60 percent
of a full coarse load) and passing marks in all courses in their previous year of study if they are
entering their second or subsequent year.
